READING GROUPS

The long tradition of IPMI reading groups will continue during this year's conference. Every IPMI participant is assigned to a reading group, and the reading groups have two tasks:

  1. Before the conference, you will read the papers assigned to your group, and your reading group co-leads will organize for your group to meet. The purpose of these meetings is to help everyone understand the papers, as well as to start a scientific discussion about their content — which we sincerely hope will lead to constructive discussion at the orals and poster sessions.

Your reading group members have chosen the same time slot as you at registration, and the co-chairs will call you for a meeting, hopefully within these constraints.

  1. During the conference, you will use your reading group discussions to support scientific discussion at the orals and poster presentations. In particular, during the oral sessions, the reading group co-chairs will be called upon to coordinate questions from their group. We hope that the junior participants will feel supported in raising questions, taking part in the discussion, and being active.

Group members, co-leads, and assigned papers, have been sent to the reading group co-leads, who will pass the information on to their groups.

In contrast to earlier IPMI's, we are assigning every accepted paper to a reading group. We hope this will help ensure that every paper gets visibility and good discussions. Note that every paper (also orals) is present in one early and one later poster session in order to be available for all time zones.

While we wait for the LNCS proceedings to be made official, your reading group co-leads have access to your group's papers and can share them with you. Once the LNCS proceedings are online, you will also find the papers from this webpage.
